Scientologists, gullible? Would they fall for a felon saying he’s the returned L. Ron Hubbard?

Does anyone remember a few years ago when a person calling himself "REVENMUS" suddenly turned up on the ars.alt.scientology bulletin board and announced that he was LRH returned?

I remember that period as one in which there was general apathy amongst the greater ex-scn field. Most ex's had ended cycle on Scn and there was much antipathy towards the subject. I may be wrong but is how I was perceived chatter on the news board.

So along comes this person announcing themselves as LRH and that he has returned and has a whole bunch of new research and rundowns!

Suddenly, according to news board, there was an upsurge in interest and enthusiasm throughout the Freezone. Ex's who had previously sworn off Scn seemed to throw off their failed purposes and were interested again. After a few months the true identity of "Revenmus" was revealed and the whole thing exposed as a sham. However the incident was an interesting social experiment in exposing how even amongst die hard ex's and anti's there seemed to exist a flicker of hope that their prior interest and hopes in Scn had not been for nothing and that if LRH truely did return (not that I believe he ever will) then those former purposes might be enlivened.

I think that this latest imposter may again enliven hope within the free zone and a certain number of ex's will rally to his banner but once again it will be a short lived adventure once people realise that the emperor has no new clothes.

The image of Hubbard auditing a tomato was published in Life magazine in 1968. Two years earlier, Cleve Backster hooked up a cane plant to a lie detector: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleve_Backster

Edit: Actually google seems to have misled me. Hubbard's photo was apparently from the 1950s:

https://tonyortega.org/2013/02/02/scientology-mythbusting-with-jon-atack-the-tomato-photo/
Sometime around 1974-75, we had a party.....people from Adams Ave Mission in San Diego. I had a small potted plant on the kitchen table and decided to hook it up to my meter to see what would happen. Everyone came into the kitchen to watch. I hooked the plant up to the leads and people were asking the plant questions. The TA was as high as is could possibly go on the meter. Then....we all went into the living room and forgot about the plant for a while. About a half hour later I walked into the kitchen and looked at the meter. The TA had dropped way, way down. Seems the plant was in overwhelm with everyone asking all those questions. Poor plant. :sadsigh:

I had a husband, for a very short time, Class 8....who said he had audited an orange.....asked it what it's purpose was....he said it told him it was to be eaten. :hmm:

I used to have a plant beside my bed. Sometimes I would forget to water it. I would go to bed and couldn't sleep until I realized the plant wanted water. I would get up and water the plant. Then all was peaceful again....went back to bed and went to sleep. Plants do communicate, and they do respond to things in their environment....if you pay any attention to them.

Prior to Scientology, I read a book called "The Secret Life of Plants"....sometime in the early 70's. It fascinated me. LRH was mentioned in the book for doing some tests on plants. I didn't know who he was at the time. But I loved the book. It was fun reading.

Has anyone here ever tried to audit any plants? :questions:

I'll leave the video here so you can make up your mind about Cleve Bakster, using a polygraph on plants to find out if they are sentient.
It starst at 1:35, but I suggest you watch the entire video.
He was a polygraph (lie detector) specialist and taought the use of it to many others.

Context: Dr Hall Puthoff who work in the Stargate CIA project , involving Ingo Swann too, is a physicist and they were interested, from a scientific viewpoint, to study and understand the subject of consciousness I don'tt get if the specific date of the experimentations is given on this video by Dr
Putoff.

But, What puzzles me is the PR attempt about LRH, the physicist, conducting studies about plants consciousness and being sentient, using a polygraph... (chances are 99%, this was another staging of a con artist), but,
the Ingo Swann connection between this project and $cientology and Ron Hubabrd, is quite interesting.

I wonder if this connection (or anything that may have been grasp in Ingo Swann auditing) may have lead to Ron Hubbard developping an OCD to find out about those experiments and using the bits he grabbed to try to become and intelligence expert, but failing into that, ended up being a con artist who wanna be a spiritual leader...or is it that he read the same books than the CIA Dr Puthoff...
is reported some place that his photographs with tomatoes has been took in 1968

Records show ''Dr Hubtard'' tried many times to get attention of Intelligence authorities on him, as an expert (in intel and mind) , but failed and ended up as being considered as a (appear mental)

The appropriate theme song is here

I'm having such a win to know that Galactic Patrol (Galac Patra for friends) is stil alive and watching over us to ensure my security in salvaging this sector of the universe , under the command of Sector commander Elron Elray (actually may I ask how is he doing ???)

:handinhand:
:ship:

Such dedication and devotion deserve to be validated and praised..

But, wouldn't be easier ,less cheaper and more realistic, to join the Star Trek international association which is quite more productive in terms of notoriety and membership
Also since Captain Kirk is still alive ,very competent , and given the Enterprise has been maintained and kept in order, both would be such an asset to finally begin the formal 1st galactic salvaging mission in teleporting meat bodies through this sector ot the universe till Lord Xenu is captured and prosecuted by the galactic confederation justice board...

Only a suggestion though! :questions:

(Could my suggestions be proposed at the convention ???)

The return of LRH appears to be of no interest...

Sad for Mr hubbard

Athough, tomatoes might be interested to keep going up their bridge up to OT8, with their very good friend Ron, back on this planet...

I don't like how LRH is looking at those tomatoes.

Did Hubbard have a greenhouse on the Royal Scot(s)man/Apollo? He would have needed one for this photo to have been taken in 1968 when he was floating around the Mediterranean.

The photo was taken years earlier at St. Hill. The confusion about the date arises probably due to the photo having been published in 1968.

Thank you Veda.
I did some research to find out that LRH bought st-Hill in 1959.
So I thought the photo would have been taken in the early 60's

So went to have a look on getty images, wich is very dtrict on dating photographs and archives.
The date this image has been taken is 1968.

I don't know the exact times he was on Appolo ship since I was then mostly concerned with the content of my diaper
But, does it match you personnal records that he would have been at st-hill in 1968

Thanks

He doesn't look at the tomatoes, he is looking into a mirror.

Because otherwise this imbecile puke - who "never had a second wife", only a third wife - wouldn't be able to see the E-meter and its needle reaction:

Where's Beatle Ronnie?
By

Does anyone know who was the substitute Beatle drummer
one night at the Grosvenor – a local lad called Ronnie?
Ronnie was a teddy boy, tougher looking than Jack Palance,
according to manager Williams.
John Lennon announced that they had no drummer that night but they had his kit.
‘‘Did any one fancy playing the skins?’’
Ronnie, a tall strong lad with a mass of red hair, stepped forward.
He got behind the drums and started banging away.
It was the worst night the Beatles had experienced.
They could not get Ronnie off stage.
If they did, his mates threatened them.

That's correct.

So went to have a look on getty images, wich is very strict on dating photographs and archives.

Just looked at the getty Hubbard photos. All the photos taken in Queens, New York in late 1972/early 1973 are dated as being taken in 1982.

Strict on dating? According to whom?

The date this image has been taken is 1968.
It's wrong.

I don't know the exact times he was on Appolo ship since I was then mostly concerned with the content of my diaper

The meter is also wrong for 1968. That's a Mark IV I think. The Mark V (the "wooden box" meter, still legal, I believe) was standard by 1968.

No need for LRH to see the meter. He's already audited the tomato plant through the lower grades and it's now solo auditing. Soon the tomato plant will go OT: Operating Tomato!

I replied to you via PM (to hold a condidential data)

In this case I will retain your estimated date instead of Getty which seems to be wrong.

Thank you.

I read The Secret Life of Plants in the early part of 1973. I just looked online and it is still being sold....Walmart is even selling it. If you've never read it, it's very interesting.....experiments done with plants (not LRH's experiments).

There is a new post up at the Underground Bunker

Scientologists, gullible? Would they fall for a felon saying he’s the returned L. Ron Hubbard?

[He is risen?]
I find this disturbing in all its possibilities:

1) It really is the reincarnation, and the bastard is back, ugh
2) It really is the reincarnation, which proves the tech doesn't work, he's just another "past life clear"
3) It really is the reincarnation, and he he's still stuck in the same gpm (to be buddha/to be hitler)
4) It's not the reincarnation and this guy is a deluded narcissist deceiving the weak-minded
5) It's not the reincarnation and this guy is running a long con

I think #4 is most likely. I can't see Hubbard coming back and trying to pick up where he left off. But it is something a neophyte Scientologist would do, sort of "possessed" by the personage of LRH. At any rate, his picture gives me the creeps. Reminds me of Manson showing up at LA Org in the 60s, wanting to attest to theta clear.

Bingo, here we are: "Being Eaten" - the "green-leaves-red-tomato-im-plant" ;)
