Questions about Life Improvement Courses

Hello all,

I was interested in the life improvement courses that Scientology offered. They are new since I’d been out, so I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them. Good? Bad? I dabble once in a while, so I’m just curious; especially because they say “Based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard.” So as far as I know, it constitutes something like verbal tech. But I’m still interested.

And even better, does anyone know where there are pdfs of them to see them so I wouldn’t have to pay tons of moolah to the organisation that pretends to be a church?

When I was a course sup at AOSHUK I thought they were not bad: relatively cheap and Scn basic data written in English for noobs rather than course packs of raw HCOBs starting with KSW1.

Now, being an ex-scn I have a different viewpoint.

Oh, the free online courses at the CofS site at https://www.scientology.org/courses/ are very similar. They are from the Scn Handbook. I see you have to register but I assume you can use fake details and a throwaway email address.

Long time no see. Glad to see you're still here posting. I've heard that the LICs are actually just the WISE courses but repackaged for public. Do you think it's true? As they charge limbs for those WISE courses, I'm especially interested to find out more. Certainly the "what you will learn" descriptions seem to hint at it, anyway...

Glad you still use my success story. I'm still using your yawn machine, actually. I don't know why, but it still keeps working. )

Hey there,

I don't know, but it would make sense that these Div6 Life Improvement courses are pretty much the same as entry-level WISE courses. It should be pretty easy to Google around, but I'm really not interested enough to do it. There used to be "Life Improvement Centres" that delivered them and basic auditing, but I can imagine they've been wiped out by now.

Still keeps working, huh? Fancy that.

Let me scan them this week and get them to you. I do believe some orgs might just let you by the course pack which should be $25 - but :^) I have some so no worries. Which one were you thinking of taking? Oh and can I interest you in a full training package?

Thanks for the response. I'm basically interested in any of the business side of things. For example, Formulas for Living, Overcoming Financial Stress, Scientology Tools for Financial Security, and Scientology Principles of Prosperity.

I'm also curious about Overcoming Ups and Downs, and moderately interested in the marriage and children's packs, but more of a "where did LRH say that?" Since these are courses for the newer public, I'd be interested especially to see if they say the same things that veteran Scientologists are taught about children like, "Children are just adults in smaller bodies."

I'd be interested in any others too, of course; particularly if it applies to business.

Sorry was on vacation, will get you some scans this weekend! - I don't have the children ones, but - basically it says that. Also teaches the contact assist, and body. Give kids the space to make their own decisions.

Those courses have been repackaged many times and are the 'lite' versions of stuff on the Levels and on other Scn courses (Comm Course, HQS, Student Hat, etc.).
The original VMH Handbook had most of them towards the back of the book.
