This from wwp:
Just saw on KOB that Second Chance is GONE!! News crews arrived there to see a big yellow bus speeding away and the building is empty.

Pete Dinelli is pleased but says Second Chance still owes the city anywhere from $10,000.00 to $90,000.00 bucks PLUS the utility bills!!

WIN! WIN! WIN! WIN! WIN! WIN!

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The building that housed the controversial Second Chance drug rehabilitation center is now empty.

On Saturday, Second Chance officials packed up and moved out of the building, a week ahead of a city imposed deadline.

Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chavez ordered the group to leave, saying Second Chance violated conditions of their lease by housing offenders who had been convicted of violent crimes and making unauthorized changes to the building.

Chief Public Safety Director Pete Dinelli ordered officers to go there Saturday to make sure the building wasn't left unsecured.

When officers arrived, they noticed that the building was still secure because a security officer was on duty.

There's no word on where the Second Chance program is moving, but the last inmate left Saturday.

News 13 has been told that Second Chance officials are actively looking for another location to continue the program.

Joy, never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down.

You move and we'll be there for your Grand re-opening!

Adopt a Criminal!

Where are all the homeless criminals going to go to now?

Certainly the Big Blue in LA could use some more RPF to help continually re-build and move, and re-build and move....

With the addition of real criminals, the RPF stats should soar because the RPF executives will re-double their efforts to complete the checksheet and get away from the real SPs.

Thank you for your reports on this situation.

Hopefully they were taken back to the jails in the counties they were sent from! Most of them were still serving sentences. The one's that actually completed the program were hired by Joy to work at Second Chance...guess good workers are hard to find around here! :D

When I was in the SO at AO in the late 70's they were pulling in homeless people to help with reno's. It was pretty bad. There wasn't enough decent berthing for staff, let alone homeless guys.

Only once an hour? I doubt he has that much self-restraint left with his stats the way they are.:p

Seriously though, I do wonder where they've taken the
other students - Arrowhead?

It may be construed that what you are saying is that group of people could be one of the "500" recruits for the sea org's new quota. funny how life works

Security at the Int Base must have recorded hours of such footage since they have CCTV cams all over the place there. Maybe someone stashed away some juicy bits and took them along when they blew. :)

The students were convicts from jails around the state. They were sent back to their home counties. A lot of counties pulled their convicts out earlier this month after the Albuquerque Mayor gave Second Chance the eviction notice. From what I gather there were only a few left and they got sent back to their original jails.

Anons here are on it. We've been sending all the legislaters, congressmen, senators and representatives e-mails about this scam for months. We are now sending mayor's, police chief's, and judges information about Second Chance, NarCONon, Drug Free Marshall's, etc.

We don't want any scientology organization or front group in our state ever again.

Lol!! Wutt !!!!

The controversial drug rehabilitation center Second Chance abruptly closed up Saturday leaving questions about where it sent 19 inmates housed at the West Side facility.

The City of Albuquerque said when they got word Saturday afternoon something was happening at the Second Chance, they sent police officers to check it out. The officers confirmed all the inmates and personnel at the facility were gone.

The city says Second Chance vacated its property on the West Mesa without warning. The rehab program was still housing 19 inmates as of Wednesday. On Saturday night, no one was able to say where they are.

"I would hope that those individuals were returned to the counties they came from," Chief Public Safety Officer Pete Dinelli said.

The abrupt closing stems from a landlord-tenant dispute between Second Chance and the City of Albuquerque. Pete Dinelli said the rehab center violated the terms of its lease.

"They basically had people in there that had no business being there," he said. "The facility was never designed for violent felons."

City leaders ordered Second Chance out by the end of January. But the dispute appeared to be headed for court--until Saturday.

"As far as I'm concerned, this is a late Christmas gift," Dinelli said.

Now, the city must decide what to do about the bill they say Second Chance has not paid.

"It looks like we may be owed some money. Anywhere between $10,000, upwards to $90,000 in past rents as well as utilities," Dinelli said.

The city said they may have to sue Second Chance to get their money.

Calls to the president of Second Chance went unanswered Saturday.
