And Marty, people need to also know that you were the Int Base Prison Warden for many years.
What are the responsibilities of the Int Base Prison Warden?

These are the folks who will return to a newly reconstituted "Scientology" - and applaud that giant picture of Hubbard with renewed zest.
Could it possibly happen?
What are the responsibilities of the Int Base Prison Warden?
That's not a real post title, but from Marty's posts as IG Ethics as well as other RTC posts he held, he was the overseer of the handlings of all the guys who were being held captive over at OGH as well as all of the people on the RPF at Happy valley. There were some people being held at Happy Valley, i.e. Bruce Bromley who had to be kept seperate from both the RPFers and the OGHers. Marty in essence was Int Base Prison Warden due to the fact that this truly was imprisonment and run like a prison.
When overseeing these "handlings" was he pretty much JUST wearing the prison warden hat or was he actually helping any of these people?

If you keep your mind too open your brain will fall out.
Oh OK. Tell you what Claire - you can give the benefit of the doubt to someone who for years harassed and exploited scientologists, who took part in cover ups and lies and who is afraid to even speak to the FBI.
And you can believe all you wish that the mere act of his being tossed to the curb is going to result in this leopard changing his spots.
Good luck with all that.
And what has he done so far? ooh he criticized DM!!, He bloviated about how good Marty was and is.
yeah well I dont see him doing anything other than making Miscavige laugh.
Larry Brennan is much much more of a threat to DM and his comfort zone.
"Can I help you?"

That depends on what your definition of "help" is. If holding people prisoner so they can be Sec Checked daily for their supposed "crimes" is helping people, sheesh!
Marty was the top dog of all "Ethics" at the base and even for Scientology internationally for many years. Marty also had his own henchmen being Greg Wilhere (either an equal or just below), Chris Guider (IG MAA, a post just under Marty), Uli Stalli (Internal Security Officer RTC), Nathan Story (IG MAA after Guider was busted), all of the base Secutiry Guards, the base MAAs and their seniors - Dir I&Rs of the base orgs and any auditors in the Qual Div Gold who were qualified to Sec Check. Marty himself sec checked the people being held prisoner who were "high security risks" for DM or Scientology. But Marty being the top dog of "Ethics" ran the internal prison scheme as DM's 2nd in command. DM would most certainly throw Marty under the bus if it ever came down to False Imprisonment charges by claiming he had nothing to do with it. But, Marty was the guy running all of that for DM.

Someone said that "it wasn't Ron's policy."
Also, many will remember Hubbard stating that "there is no hidden data line in Scientology."
That is a complete lie. A major example being all of the "R" or "*" advices that are still kept in binders and used at the Int base. One of those "advices" states that anyone who leaves the Int base gets an automatic declare. I know this because I read it. There are binders and binders of advices, considered to be policy, because they came from LRH. If you haven't been to the Int Base, or been on certain posts at the Int base, you haven't read them. So, yes, there is a huge "hidden data line" in the CoS and has been for YEARS.
As well, in regards to Marty, I think it's great that he is taking a stand against DM, but is that enough to account for all of the things he did as his 2nd in command for years? All the people that were imprisoned by DM and Marty over the years, including me had to suffer a great amount of mental and spiritual trauma and in a lot of cases took years to get over. I'm probably still strying to recover to some degree or I wouldn't be here writing this, and that was 9 years ago.
Hey Marty, I'm sure you lurk here, so let me ask you something. Do you remember when Bruce Bromley (ex-Senior C/S Int) blew and was recovered but kept out at Happy Valley for the remainder of his cycle before he was allowed to leave? You had 2 MAA's, myself and Terrence Une posted out there with him full-time to make sure he didn't blow and for us to keep him busy on MEST work. You would come out several times a week to Sec Check him in one of the rooms there and I remember those sessions lasting many hours at times. Well, I became very close to Bruce at that time. Instead of forcing him to do MEST work, I would let him do whatever he wanted, which was to read his fiction novels or just have pleasant conversation, but you and Chris Guider would come out and tell us to enforce the MEST work. Several months of this went by and if you remember, Bruce finally HAD it and decided to just walk out of there. Well, I LET him. I personally couldn't stand to see anyone being held like that for as long as he had. I let him go. Terrence radio'd in to the main booth that Bruce was walking down the road towards through the Soboba reservation. Terrence and I walked well behind Bruce until Chris Guider showed up, and he somehow talked Bruce into staying longer. He told him that he could go but that he's be declared and disconnected from members of his family, etc... Do you know what I was thinking at THAT time? I actually WANTED to see Bruce get out of there and I wasn't going to stop him if he wanted to leave. Funny that I was one of the guys on his watch. That night, Bruce tried to leave again and the guard at the ranch had to call in several other members of Security, I don't remember if you were there at the time, but they were physically holding him in a room until you showed up to "talk some sense into him." I witnessed Bruce trying to push and shove his way out of that room while 4 or 5 gaurds physically shoved him and held him against a wall until he calmed down. You arrived not too much later than that. Do you ever look back at these "handlings" you were overseeing and wonder what the hell you were doing? Was it really all DM? Or were you equally responsible? It's crazy that I myself ended up being held captive just like Bruce Bromley, but for an even longer preiod of time. I figured you guys were just never going to allow me to leave. Matt Butler "Murphy" one of the guards at the base told me that you guys were never going to allow Maureen Bolstad to leave when she was being held at OGH. Did you ever think to realize that you could get in serious trouble being responsible for false imprisonment crimes?
I really do hope you do the right things to make up for all that you did.
That's the basic Scientology template as laid out by the Founder himself in the publicized/confidential Scientology doctrine. Marty is saying things like, "True Scientologists think for themselves," and some are going, "Wow, think for ourselves!... We can be Scientologists! LRH! LRH! LRH! LRH! LRH!"
Sigh. The Cult of Hubbard, to be truly successful, must be able to "survive!" without enforcement from an organization. In 1938 (shortly after having written the Mussolini-esque manuscript 'Excalibur'), Hubbard wrote that he would create an effect (in the shape of his own ego, identified with his name) that would "survive!" and do so, "even if all the books are destroyed."If decades of having a totalist (totalitarian) organization, one that practiced mind-manipulation couched in "mental healing" and "spiritual discovery," etc., have had the *impact* that might be expected, then there should be some who - apart from the organizational structure - would seek to continue the cult of Hubbard, itself. This cult of Hubbard would be decorated, much like the older more formal cult, with slogans announcing, "Think for yourself," and "Freedom!"These are the folks who will return to a newly reconstituted "Scientology" - and applaud that giant picture of Hubbard with renewed zest.
Could it possibly happen?
I see it now, Veda. Worldwide Event. DM gives impassioned speech about all the amazing things achieved under his watch for 3 decades....and how cosmically challenging it was to attempt to wear Ron's "Boots in The Sky". He confesses with well-drill humility that he had a terrible overt in his quest to do what the Old Man personally trusted him to do (save the Earth)...and that's an overt of omission where he failed to demand personal enhancement time for himself. Yes, he selflessly put "duty" above all else and that is only overt. But now he will enjoy the 50,000 hours of backlogged "2.5 hours a day" that was missed. The crowd erupts, standing ovation. Tears flow. Cameras pan as parishioners think or say the thought "That's so Theta!" in 232 languages.
DM pulls the velcrowed tabs of his Sea Org uniform and it "snaps" off revealing the new kicked-back DM wearing bermuda shorts, flip-flops and a festive Hawaiian shirt. Marty is introduced as the new boss. New standing ovation.
DM and Marty stand uncomfortably close and begin saluting each other. Then Tom Cruise hops on stage and they take turns saluting each other. Wall-sized images of DM and Cruise and Rathburn appear with the words "Loyal Officer" superimposed. A 3 story high titanium-engraved plate is revealed with LRH's photo. The most dedicated Scientologists in world continue saluting one another and Ron's image to thunderous applause.
After a half-hour ovation, people eventually begin to take their seats (but not before camera-yielding OSA members document the first ones to stop applauding and sit down).
Marty calmly tells the ten million Scientologists watching him that Ron only wanted for them to be FREE to think FREE and to act FREE. And because of the unprecedented Power stats of Scn worldwide, the severe gradients of Ethics can finally, finally, finally be relaxed after 60 years. The audience is beside itself. In orgs around the planet, spontaneous chants erupt of "THAT'S SO THETA!!"
Marty assures the 10 million faithful that THIS is all that Ron ever wanted for them. FREEDOM!!! ENDLESS FREEDOM to think or say or do anything!!! But Marty has to cut his speech a little bit short because the fervor is so great that Scientologists begin speaking in tongues, swooning and falling backwards with their eyes rolled up as the power of all this freed-up theta is unleashed.
Faithful parishioners cry and hug each other screaming "We're FREE!!!! We're FREE!!! Thank Ron almighty, we're FREE AT LAST!!!"
Just before the event ends an announcement is made that there is a new ten-volume book release. It contains all of the things that Ron says a "Free Being" thinks, says and does.
People rush to get in line for their copy of "RON'S COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZED LIST OF ALL THOUGHTS, STATEMENTS & ACTIONS OF A STANDARDLY FREE BEING".
Overheard above the admiring gasps of "That's so theta!" a weeping OT VIII confesses: "Now we finally & truly know how to be free the way Ron wanted for us!!!"
While I am enjoying the back and forth I suddenly realized that I actually need to pay some kudos to one particular person.
Claire Swazey.
Yep Claire and I have argued about almost everything, and she can drive me to distraction.
But Claire has way more courage than Marty and his Ilk, she has stood up for what she believes in, she spoke openly on ARS when she was in and got declared for it.
She has real courage. Maybe you can get some of it to rub off on Rathbun, Claire. I doubt it though.
Anyway Claire - just for once I wanted to pay some respect to you for your heart and your courage - while disagreeing with you on almost everything else!
