What's new

Anybody attending February 10 protests?

I did not ask you what you CARE about.

What is your ultimate goal or point that you're trying to make? Can you not sum it up? Is it that we're wasting our effort on this when we could be doing other positive things? Is this your overall point?

What is your motivation for MAKING this point?

THESE ARE MY QUESTIONS.

Dodge if you like, they will not disappear.

Then humor me with a direct answer to my 2 questions.

WHAT IS THE OVERALL GOAL WITH YOUR QUESTIONS ?

WHAT IS THE MOTIVATION FOR POSTING THEM ?

The person, theillusioness, is simply trying to boost their ego by hijacking this thread and using starving children for their own ends. Sad really. Don't expect her/him to answer any of your questions as he/she won't.

It is not uncommon for such a movement like this to be misinterpreted; the quarrel the public and indeed thousands of anonymous individuals on the Internet has with Scientology is not the religion in and of itself. In America, our founding fathers believed in equal opportunity, equal protection of speech, liberty and to be able to worship as they decided to. In America you will no doubt become cognizant of the fact that many religions exist in our lands which may seem unseemly, strange or at some times unethical. You will further notice that religions such as the "Modern Church of Satan" are ALSO afforded these very same basic human and intellectual rights.

Religion is a touchy subject and always has been even since the year fourteen hundred ninety two when followers of a peculiar sect of Protestantism sailed the oceans until eventually winding up in what is Plymouth Massachusetts. Religions in this world exist for more or less the same reasons - elevating a persons self and spirit to a higher position than what it is now. All religions are cared for by their hierarchy and body-politic and seek to answer the infinite questions of morality, ethics and the eternal question of God in whatever form you choose to accept Him/Her/It in.

The Church of Scientology over the last fifty years seeks these things only at a very basic level. Instead, choosing to exploit the people out of personal property, their lives and their families. No religion should be able to tell their followers they cannot communicate with loved ones. No religion should retain their doctrine in secretive manners away from public eyes under lock, stock and copyright.. The organization of the Church of Scientology has since it's inception sought to bury criticism using fear, intimidation, scare tactics and has wasted countless hours and money in our national court systems bring law suit after law suit against detractors and "copyright infringer's" alike.

If you examine this website as I assume you probably have over your course on the Internet you must know that this site is full of examples of the Church abusing parishioners, lying to government officials and in one instance, even attempting to infiltrate our national internal revenue service - the source of our countries principal source of monetary income and structure. If you read this website, you will be endless examples of physical, emotional and spiritual torment brought on by members of the administration of the Church against parishioners.

Having become cognizant of these facts and more, hundreds upon thousands of ANONYMOUSindividuals have taken to the Internet, to their neighborhoods, their families and their friends in a campaign of purposeful information against a body-politic which cannot be allowed to stand any longer.

You may no doubt see examples of information, acts and public speaking from certain anonymous individuals when reading this website or ones organized against the current body-politic of Scientology. Please make no mistake, while your beliefs may seem strange to us we are not hating on your religion. We do not agree with the founders of your Church and the body-politic of it at-large.

In an ideal world, you could practice Scientology wherever you wanted you could freely discuss operating thetans, body thetans and e-meters with your friends who were not Scientologists. However, due to the negative way the body-politic of Scientology operates, these types of discussion are impossible and will be met with gawking, staring and some times perhaps even laughter or outright ridicule.

I will close by admonishing one very small fact to you. If it were not for the scandal, abuse and negative operating structure the Church currently operates under I myself would probably be a Scientologist. I find a lot of about Scientology prior to OT-3 to be very much what I would like to do and to believe in. However, upon researching your religion in the late 90s early 2000s I was completely disheartened by the fact that a religion so peaceful and communicative in nature would suppress information about it from it's followers and from the public en-masse. These things are not acceptable to me, tyrannical leadership is not something I wish to support or be a part of. Knowledge is power. Information is free. Religion should be too.

I agree with you.

It is very important that religion should be free.

I agree 100% that there are many many many outpoints and abuse in the Church that people should speak out against.

I just don't see it as the biggest injustice on the planet at this time.

I also do not see it as the biggest danger, only the biggest annoyance with dissastisfied customers.

We dabbled in pot, we dabbled in lsd, we dabbled in heroin and cults and free love and magick, it's all outdated now as 60's hobby.

There are people in the world who will not live to see a week from now.

We are able people with big views.

I only mean to suggest to spend our power of protest where the world needs it most and not because we've been offended from a fucking Cafe' Society hobby.

How many people in the world even give a fuck?

Might as well go protest about Andy Warhol.

Probably won't even get back page at this point in time.

Yes yes, you are right.

I have nothing very important to say and you do.

I cannot answer any questions in an intelligent way.

I am just a sad case.

You are just beating a dead horse.

I am sure you have many other imprortant things to do.

No one discounted the facts you presented.

Please, now answer the question about your overall motivation of making your point, now that you've finally made it clear.

What was your last big win as a protestor?

Cheering while Marie Antoinette had her head chpped off?

WoW! That changed everything didn't it?

Can't believe Viet Nam happened in spite of that!

It's only the beginning Love. They'll turn up the heat very soon. Every sector of every office, if they are not already, will soon be very aware and very afraid of anonymous. The cage has been rattling the last few weeks, but I think they are only now beginning to hear.. finally.

As Narconan should teach you - the first step toward recovery is admission. Only when you've admitted your faults to yourself and to others can you truly ever be free of anything.

I just don't see it as the biggest injustice on the planet at this time.

That's a matter of perception. I consider any religious institution which abuses those it it's charge to be at odds with the fabric of civilized society and thus a target for opposition and criticism.

I also do not see it as the biggest danger, only the biggest annoyance with dissastisfied customers.

The fact that you refer to parishioners as customers is extremely telling of what the modern church of Scientology propagates and displays clearly it's agenda for all to see.

We dabbled in pot, we dabbled in lsd, we dabbled in heroin and cults and free love and magick, it's all outdated now as 60's hobby.

What did your generation ever really accomplish besides a lot of terrible pornography, hair styles and clothing?

There are people in the world who will not live to see a week from now.

Yes, like LIsa Mcphearson.

You seem to be stuck in the 1970s. May I suggest a do-it-yourself Hubbard time machine? But seriously, what you're talking about are socio-economic issues which cannot be resolved legally or demonstratively. There's also numerous examples of money/aid to said "hungry people" that goes unclaimed and into the pockets of some rich ashole billionaire who grabs it.

Might as well go protest about Andy Warhol.

I am pretty sure someone shot him and then a really bad movie (also your generations fault) was made about that. I also am under the impression the person who shot him is in prison. Also, you're comparing a religious institution charged with caring for people who are vulnerable and needing of them with a hack-job artist who did pictures of the Virgin Mary's hooters? I'm not even sure where I should start explaining the difference to you on that one ..

I know that one of the messages said not to wear masks but glasses and scarves. Do you know if this applies to the UK too?

It strictly depends on the municipality you will be demonstrating in. I am a fan of wearing a ski mask or mask physicians use while examining you. They're light weight and can be put in your pocket if it's illegal.

Yeah, medical mask sounds doable. Thanks.
I saw one of the event videos on youtube that the protesters were wearing suits. Do you have any info on that? It did stand out a lot more.

Sorry, I don't read links from sites that start with "Jesus-Is-Saviour" I know they're hokey and full of LULZ. Seriously though? Yeah maybe it is the thing that gives their generation meaning - I don't know, I'm part of the generation after them so I couldn't tell you. What I *WILL* tell you however is that there are almost four thousand people hitched up and ready to go with countless others who ARENT registered on the COSplay site. So, clearly this is a cause worth 'something' since so many people are mobilized and informationally ready to handle it.

As you can see from my avatar the logo for ANONYMOUS is a man/woman in a black suit with a black tie. That is why they are doing that, it's more of a theme to extra a little extra fun/spice to something that might normally be dull and at best - a lot of walking. Much as the older protesters back in the day had "Honk if you hate Scientology" our theme is men in suits. It's nothing you have to adhere to but it generally adds a little fun as I already said.

I'm stuck in the 70's?

The 70's was all about tea time in cafe society.

I'm not stuck anywhere except in the big picture.

YOU are the one stuck in some personal offense with a self help cafe society cult.

You are the protestor about people's offended choices like what retsaurant they opted to buy food from.

YOU are the one with limited vision about what matters.

YOU be the one in an orphange starving while someone far far away is out bitching about some cult they got mixed up in while your legs are shot off and you have no food.

YOU are the one stuck somewhere on the track, not me.

Your post comes off like a little bitch offended because she's run out of nail polish.

I just don't see it as the biggest injustice on the planet at this time.

Hey T.I.! Good to see you.

No, it's not the biggest injustice, of course not. We each have to look at things from our individual viewpoints. And to me, it's that this is something I can do something about. Whatever other actions we do to help the world, this one is very personal to me and a lot of others, as you know.

And each individual who heals from their past is another individual who is then free to take on the bigger issues.
And I commend you for all you do to make this a better planet.
I think it's all cool, this current interest. :)
