Wouldn't they need to beg all the renovation money first?

    Then do the renovations?

Yup, I believe you're right. They had only begged for the purchase of the Alexandra previously but pretty sure not its renovations. So that must be next up.

Yes please. Take some photos -- for a before and after comparison, to compare now and several years in the future when they've done nothing beyond neglecting the place.

    Wake me up

If the COS Boston were a viable organization, the new building would be necessary to fill demand.

In Miscavage World, where stats and expansion is faked, the new building will be buffed up to look pretty with lots of Las Vegas casino style colors and hardware. Expect to see a Grand Opening with ribbon cutting, tuxedos, lots of clapping, really happy people, a few celebs, lots of hip hips and photo shopped pictures. And no new demand.

Welcome to the Delusion World of Scientology, where big new buildings support the BIG LIE of more people wanting Scientology.

After a few days, we'll see pictures of the uncontestable emptiness, the lack of people. The org will be like the guy living in a trailer buying a huge boat and a huge new pickup truck, he's stuck with giant monthly payments and wondering what will be repo'd next.

I NEVER have understood the need for lavish anything at an outer org. For me, it was all about spiritual improvement. Auditing can be done in a closet (and frequently is). If the $15 million were put into PAYING STAFF and acquiring a modest org kept clean and in good repair, that might make sense.

Buying that monstrosity in Allston is another example of bad management on many levels.

Fake stats, fake expansion, fake demand, fake "100% workable" tech.

They invite you to a Black Tie dinner, padlock you to the table and let you bid on the key. All in fun of course.:coolwink:

Someone just asked me about Rick Siegel (as he share's his last name with me, but no relation).

Anyone know where he's at these days and what he's doing?

Here are a few photos I took of the place yesterday. There is absolutely no foot traffic in the area. At least there is a large parking lot behind the building from which you can see almost an entire vacant floor. Wondering if they'll be moving into that for starters or just kicking out all the current tenants. The entry has no reception area; just a long hallway with a list of current tenants.

BTW, got some great running shoes at the New Balance outlet store nearby. They are having a fabulous year-end sale into early January.

I did a little bit of searching but still haven't found what Rick's up to presently. But did find some info from years past:

In 1994 this Doc shows he was President of Wise INT.

Also, a comment on Marty's blog makes mention of Rick being at WISE as well.

Also, in this link (below) there is mention of Rick being Survey Network Chief, CSI in May of 2005.

If anyone has any additional information please post it here in this thread if you can.

That he is a member of WISE is probably why Google can't find him. They aren't allowed on the internet.

Any relation to Elaine Siegel, of OSA?

She was (presumably still is) his wife.

Yes, she was in OSA. When I was at Boston Org in the 80's she was his wife. Don't know if they're still together or not.

I don't know what he's doing these days. But he was President of WISE back 20+ years ago.
