Gizmo, From what I've heard it can go one of three ways:

1.) Older men - even some well into their eighties - who are still interested in having sex and who are still able to "perform". Viagra would likely be of benefit to these men.

I had an uncle who died at age 82. His somewhat younger (but not THAT much younger) widow was hysterical at the funeral home - crying around and mumbling plaintively, "Who will I have sex with? Who will I have sex with?"
The rest of us were kind of rolling our eyes, trying to shut her up as the priests came walking in.

2.) Older men who are still interested in having sex but who are no longer able to "perform". Viagra MAY be of benefit to these men.

Nobody can really predict when things like this will happen. Sometimes illness or medications will cause it. Once recovered, abilities may return.

3.) Older men who are just no longer interested in sex.

This can be due to the commonly seen hormonal changes associated with ageing, some medications, physical illness, pain conditions, and psychological distress.

As an ex I'm bloody tired of discussing the kult and I'm certainly not interested in an ex-cult commonality being the root of a relationship with a woman. That's my preference, others of course are free to have their own.

My wife and I, having survived the whole experience with our good senses intact, have found that our mutual understanding of that shared experience has bound us together more strongly than ever.

(Mr and Mrs P: 31+ years and counting.) :)

You two kids inspire me. So very proud of how you have come through this experience together. Wanna hear a secret? In the early days I was resentful of others that made it out as couples. I've let that crap go and these days I just smile when I think of folks like you two. You bring hope that it can be done (couples can stay connected and exit the cult together). Love and hugs to ya both. :)

I'm happy for both of you. Truly! You're both very fortunate. I'll pass on the dating an ex gig due to reasons previously stated and the drama. Some folks seem enchanted with the idea and good luck to them.

So you're saying our love has no hope? I'm crestfallen.:melodramatic:

  15. That's pretty cool.

If I've learned anything in life (and there is nothing to suspect that I have) is that it takes special people to stay together for a long period of time and especially over difficult or trying times.

    Being soul mates isn't enough.

    Dear Couch Potato Type,

I have my own lawn-mower (that actually starts, sometimes). It is nothing flash but it does cut the grass and makes all the usual noises a lawn-mower makes.

Will take picture tomorrow when it is day-light (mower looks its best in natural light).

    Yours sincerely,
  18. Dear Lawn-mower-that-starts-sometimes-owner.

This sounds nice. I'd love to push it and mow your lawn.

The noises it makes is music to my ears.

    My engine is running.

    Devoutly your Gardener,

I love it when you post here, TAJ, and seeing you interact with Glenda (as above) is pure icing on the cake. :)
  20. Hmmm...icing on the cake.

I'll save that euphemism for another letter.
