At first I didn't know who it was, then it clicked, and oh shit . . .

Thanks for posting this. It was interesting listening to the familiar patter as the Celebrity Centre staffer tried to avoid saying what they really do while gleaning enough information about goals and ruins to press the right buttons. The idea is not to answer questions directly and with finality because this blunts reach. They want to maintain mystery. It's like this with their videos also for which the staffer will probably send links. Lot's of blah blah and highly edited imagery but very little substance. It is actually against one of their strongest policies and cultural attitudes to give verbal data. In other words to try to explain or put in their own words what Hubbard said. Their goal is to get you to read his material and watch his videos directly. The main selling point is Scientology has a solution for everything. Whatever your goal or ruin is Scientology can help you achieve it or resolve it. The staffer did a pretty good job of avoiding cultspeak and staying at the reality level of the prospect. I think CC tends to be more sophisticated about this than other orgs because they deal with a more demanding public so it is a good example of how they draw in an entry level person.

Everything about that conversation was noted in her file and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was recorded on Scientology's end either.
