314 total, 267 families
$6.7 Million Dollars (minimum)

All in all a pretty disappointing effort I thought for the stronghold of Scientology in ANZO. All those years of regging up the 'IAS Bridge' and theres only a few hundred who got the lifetime membership and above? And in that most just held out with the plain lifetime membership, only 84 have donated beyond $10,000, and only 20 beyond $100,000. The biggest donors are the Frank family, and they have only donated a half million - a pale comparison to the donors in the USA (just look how far the statuses go below!) and local Ideal Org donos.

Perhaps the Aussies really are more resistant to the off-source IAS crap then their US counterparts?

And in case you have forgotten the status levels...

From a Pooks post on WWP the status donotions are believed to be:
Patron: $50,000
Patron with Honors: $100,000
Patron Meritorious: $250,000
Silver Meritorious: $500,000 (was $750,000 prior to February 2005)
Gold Meritorious: $1,000,000
Platinum Meritorious: $2,500,000
Diamond Meritorious: $5,000,000
Patron Laureate: $10,000,000

Even that list is out of date, the images I posted above go way further, what are the donation rates for;

Platinum Laureate
Diamond Laureate
Patron Excalibur
Platinum Excalibur
Diamond Excalibur
Patron Maximus

I shudder to think at the absurd amount of monies needed for Patron Maximum, does anyone know? (I would guess $50 Million)

BTW... I would love to see a Today Tonight report on CoS finances with Bryan Seymour slowly slideshowing through all the status levels and ridiculous trophies, all the while slowly intoning "And it goes on, and on, and on....".

Thanks for this Zhent!

I find it unbelievable how much money gets sucked out of these people and they are still stuck there with their head in the sand, pretending that their money is going to be used for something useful. :melodramatic:

Scotch and prostitutes are useful.

It's a bit depressing to see how many people I knew back in the day who are STILL THERE and still giving money. Unbelievable.

Oh well, I suppose there's one born every day.

Panda Termint

Cabal Of One
If I remember correctly, the amounts are in US dollars and I think the Lifetime Membership is actually US$1,000. I could be wrong.

Funny... Has anyone noticed that this list of names corresponds to The Guiness Book of records list of Victoria's 314 most gullible people?

The IAS and its lifetime membership has been around for many years, some on the list may be quietly inactive. :)
And remember, only 84 have donated beyond $10,000.

Its USD$5000, but in equivalent local currency.

BTW: Something really funny I noticed, the name they are still using on the sample IAS cards (see the Annual Membership above) is 'John Preston'.

John Preston is the name of the lead character in the movie Equilibrium (played by Christian Bale).

Just look at this storyline from IMDB:
IMDB said:
In a futuristic world, a strict regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Cleric John Preston (Bale) is a top ranking government agent responsible for destroying those who resist the rules. Whe he misses a dose of Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion, Preston, who has been trained to enforce the strict laws of the new regime, suddenly becomes the only person capable of overthrowing it. Its almost too good to be true! :omg:

$cientology has turned into the "Olympic Games of Donations".

And the bronze medal, with a donation of $20.000.000 goes to:
Sindy Suckermore (Iraqi Ideal Orgue)

The silver medal, with a donation of $ 50.000.000, goes to:
Ivan von Maxout Micreditus (Greece: Book one Dianetic group)

And the winner receiving the Gold medal, having made a donation of $99.000.000:
Also bought 10.000 sets of the basics for local libraries in Clearwater.

Alotta von Theety Weety from new Ideal Orgue in Eastern Siberia (to be opened shortly)
Also receiving the plastic pin with the platinum rasberry

Well eternity is a long time, what about a billion years?
1,000,000,000 / 70 = 14,285,714.28 (lifetimes) x $1000 =
$14,285,714,285.71

You could however do it this way: Give them 1c and tell them to deposit in at 5% compound for 574 years and you'd have about the same money, give or take a few hundred million! (This does not factor in account keeping charges)

Anybody know what the donation amounts are currently? In the latest IAS Impact mag the top donators are Craig and Sally Jensen are Patron Laureate, Sheila and Alan Atkinson Baker are Platinum Laureate, and the Duggans are Diamond Maximus.
