Scientology needs to clean up its act in more ways than one. Here's my latest blog post.
Does anybody here remember the "roach darbies" on the Apollo?
Derbies, sweety, but pronounced darbies in the UK, anyway. Maybe why they didn't show up in searches. Sorry, forgot to comment before.
If you're talking about racing it's not darby or derbie, it's derby. (Pronounced darby.)
Thanks, Paul, But still not showing anything relevant when I search "roach derby" and "roach derbies." And it was actually written "darbies" in the Flag OODs.
Actually I hadn't the foggiest idea what you were both talking about but could only surmise you were talking about racing cockroaches in the Sea Org. If it's connected with racing then the word you're looking for is Derby (as in Kentucky Derby or the famous English classic race).
And the plural is ...?
You are funny
I thought it was about racing cockroaches too, when I first saw items on the subject in the Flag OODs. But the race was to see who could find the biggest roach nest on the ship. People got awards for it. It was one bizarre culture shock, acclimating to life on the ship.
Ah, well thanks for clearing that up LFC, and what did they get for an award, an extra helping of rice and beans?
