The scene is in this video....toward the end.

Apparently she is NOT the the report states the Mother was escorted by Police to the police station. So...don't know who she is.

The ABC has released some names:
Chih-Jen (Aaron) Yeh was stabbed in the neck and died shortly after in the Royal North Shore Hospital.
The Church of Scientology said the deceased was a "beloved member" and the incident was a "very unfortunate matter".
The teenager also allegedly stabbed the hand of 30-year-old Shannon Vaughan, who has since been discharged from hospital, assaulted a woman named Penny Teng, and used unlawful violence to Mr Vaughan, Ms Teng and another man, Joel Lawrence.

Interesting. One of the Legal Charges the kid has against him is: affray.

I had to look that means Brawling.

I guess this happened before the "escorting?"

I guess it happened inside the AO?

I guess that he brawled with the others listed above also....besides the escorts?

Good that more information is being coming out.

"Beloved member". Their PR statements make me want to puke.

Legal definitions vary in different countries. This might help you out, Lee... Actually, it covers a range of Australian legal things if you're interested.

    Thanks, Scooter.

If you are in contact with media and authorities, I'm very concerned about the fact the boy has a Mandarin Chinese interpreter. If he is Taiwanese, that may not be sufficient unless it is a Taiwanese Mandarin interpreter.

Alice Wu also had a Mandarin Chinese interpreter and understood the Chinese even less than English and the consequences to her were horrible. She could not tell them clearly what actually happened and it all got garbled and misunderstood and you know the rest. The brother had similar difficulties. He said the language differences are far more than people realize.

"Mandarin as spoken informally in Taiwan has some notable differences in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation with Standard Mandarin, differences which have arisen mainly under influence from the languages of Taiwan, namely: Taiwanese Hokkien (the native variety of about 70% of the population of Taiwan[5]), other mother tongues of Taiwan like Taiwanese Hakka (spoken natively by about 15% of Taiwanese[5]) and Formosan languages, as well as English, and Japanese from the prior Japanese period."

I suspect that the police are trying to wade through the "acceptable truths" and "shore stories" spun them by the OSA dupes and will take a lot of time to cross-check everything that ANY kultie tells them.

Anyonr please correct me if you disagree but I think that this kid will be thrown to the wolves and his Mum will disconnect from him as he's committed several High Crimes here including placing $cientology or $cientologists at risk. I seriously doubt that the kid will have any close relatives show up for court appearances. The shore story for Taiwan will be a doozie and I'd love to hear what's being said in the "special briefings" going on through the $cientology world.

The kult is trying to push something away from the spotlight here and I'm sure it'll come out eventually. I don't get how come this kid tangled with so many peeps that he's now been charged with afray etc. but the kult chose not to call the cops? But they got "parishoners" to escort him from the property? Something's not making sense here.

Am waiting to see what comes up in Monday's court hearing.

Sheila that was something that concerned me too as Taiwanese don't really speak Mandarin. Not sure about that one and I'm certainly not in a position to chase this down. I certainly will mention it if I get a chance but the media peeps I used to deal with lots are either no longer around or on holidays (Bryan and Steve C.)

I'm very much on the sidelines on this one and I have too much going on in my own life to get too involved. I've been on holiday doing reno.s to our house but back at work Monday and, as you know, we live well away from Sydney so it's not easy getting anything to happen.

This would be a very good time to put the spotlight on their visas.

As I learned after personally meeting and speaking to the Taiwanese migration authority while trying to contact Alice Wu's relatives (The Taiwanese migration authority does not wish his name disclosed and no longer works in that section), the use of electronic visas for Taiwanese Sea Org members is an abuse of the system but difficult for them to track. COS is supposed to be using the Religious visas but intentionally do not because those are numbered and attract attention from Taiwan's migration authorities. There were other flaps and incidents he told me about that occurred with the Church of Scientology Australia recruiting from Taiwan. I would imagine there is a record of these in Taiwan and I hope someone makes personal contact with Taiwan's migration authorities and brings all of this to their attention.

Thanks. Yeh, maybe Tony O can follow up on this one through whatever Australian media contacts Bryan and/or Steve C provide him.

I know you're really busy and have a lot of home responsibilities. I wanted to mention it online so whoever can follow up might do that.

Give a huge hug to your wife and kids for me! It's always so nice to hear from you. I hope you still have those beautiful chickens? Gosh you have the most beautiful family.

Good luck with your renovations. I know how much work that can be!! :bighug:

Until the knifing occurred on the driveway they would have arrogantly believed they could easily handle the boy themselves using the tehk (tone 40, 8C, TR's ... the usual). They wouldn't have wanted the Police anywhere near the place.

What does surprise me is that not one of them apparently noticed that he was carrying a substantial knife, even though we now know that he tussled with a few people (and presumably got close to them physically) before they attempted to 'escort' him off the grounds ... he was wearing light summer clothing ... where was it hidden?

Yes, they are trying to make it appear they were protecting the mother from further altercation on the "domestic dispute".

They call the staff member, SO member, beloved as if they had great caring for him. Anyone who has been on staff knows better than that. A staff member is "beloved" to the degree he keeps his stats up. A declining or level stat brings reprimand and disdain;in many cases ridicule, and even torture known as the RPF. The executives always target a junior to shed themselves of any responsibility of THEIR declining stat. This is also used on the public in the form of ethics conditions, PTS SP tech and amends project because the executives in Scientology will never accept blame for their or Scientology"s failure. Blame is always directed to someone else, even to a family member who has nothing to do with Scientology but is blamed as being counter-intentioned to it. The correct target is seldom found. The weakest target receives the blame.

Sounds like affray is a catch-all term for anyone who asserts themselves. All someone has to do is claim they were affrayed when encountering someone else that they would harm them.

In New Jersey, a few years back, a man was shot to death at the end of a police chase by multiple officers because the officers feared for their lives as the reason they shot at him from multiple directions.

No reason for their fear was ever given.

Interesting point. Makes one sort of wonder if he actually brought the knife, or if it was conveniently located on the premises?

Here is an excerpt for you FT...

Affray came into law in 1988 after the violent Milperra bikie clash with much much stiffer sentences than the more usual charge of common assault. Affray is being used more and more by police for public brawls as they don't have to prove who was the aggressor.
Assault comes under Section 61 of the Crimes Act and is used when a person physically attacks another person but does not cause an injury that could elevate the charge to bodily harm or grievous bodily harm. It can include spitting or threatening to attack another person. Common assault has a two year maximum prison sentence.

For those interested, the story of the Milperra father's day massacre 1988:

I think I can write that script from here:

"An SP had a PTS Type III psychotic break because they saw their mother making case gain on the Purif. The best way to fight suppression is to thrive and prosper so nobody is to talk about this because it is entheta and we must all double our efforts to get the stats up. People will see that because Scientology is under attack by SPs that we are the force in the world doing good and this will result in more people becoming aware of Scientology and buying books and starting services. We must push for increased IAS donations to help defend Scientology against SPs and their attempts to destroy Scientology with bad PR and litigation. This is being handled by OSA so anything having to do with this is to be directed to OSA and anything else is off-line and dev-T. Get back to work."

    Thanks. Well that is interesting.

Here's a quote from the above link about Affray:

"A two-sided brawl can be classified as affray, a crime against public order. Affray involves a disturbance of the peace that is violent, it can be public or in private, and, crucially, a bystander might reasonably be expected to be afraid."

A Brawl would in my estimation certainly mean more than one person. It would have to be two-sided....

So, that to me would mean that someone (s) in the Cult could or should be charged any brawl that took place before the knifing....

    The "escorting" is another topic...also.

    I agree.

Made me re-think about the knife too. At first, I read 20 to 25 cm and thought that would be the blade length....
But perhaps that was the length of the entire knife...including the handle. This changes my idea of the knife from one with an 8 to 9 inch blade ...down to one with a 4 to 5 inch blade...

Still, where was it on his person?

Also this throws any pre-meditation on the part of the Kid out for me. If there was a Brawl inside the AO...if his intent was to go there to cause harm, why didn't he pull the knife at that time.

He only pulled the knife much later....against another person of his own Country and something must have been said that set him off to the extent of pulling the knife. This to me would be the opposite of pre-meditated; what ever that is called...
