    I just found out today that my friend and shipmate Paul McKelveen passed away some years ago. At the time he was sailing aboard Freewinds.

    Paul was a real seaman, not a phoney baloney in a sailor suit who doesn't know port from starboard. And I heard somewhere that he left the SO for awhile, enlisted in the US Navy and sailed aboard battleship USS IOWA.

    This sad news comes from an interview on Jeff Augustine's youtube channel, posted today.
