Thanks, ethercat, for all you do here and at the tipping point.
At least you tried a out new situation out before deciding it would not work. I am glad you and Emma are trying out another arrangement to keep ESMB up and running. Good luck to you both; ESMB has so much value with all the people thinking about leaving or leaving scn. Also, thanks for the tipping point, which is a such a great repository for narCONon exposure information and documents and activism.

Even though I am not a very visible poster here or at the Tipping Point, I want you to know your efforts are appreciated and noticed, even by us (mostly) lurkers. These two sites are HUGE in the fight against the evil that surrounds the Cult of Scientology, and indeed, the information, the people and the stories I found on this site were instrumental in getting me out in front of an org holding a sign and making efforts to educate the public about what Scientology and Narconon are really about. Your efforts in maintaining these two sites help motivate and inspire A LOT of people. It affects not just those who visit the site directly, but by motivating folks like me to protest, teach and spread the truth, it helps educate people who never have and maybe never will visit these sites themselves.

Thank you, Emma, for caring enough to help keep this site alive through giving of your self and your time, and EC, thank you for keeping these sites FUNCTIONAL. I will try and pay your gifts forward in my own little corner of the universe, doing what I can to further the work of those folks who came long before me in this fight.

Sorry, Mary - I didn't mean to imply that you did. I have so much respect and affection for you both. But lifestyle wise, you're both quite different -- you are incredibly organized, productive and an urbanite, while Ogs is a woodlands creature, fond of late night green pea soup cook-ups and natural highs.

I could as readily have paired myself and Commander Birdsong, for whom I have great affection. But as he and I would both agree, we lead quite different lives, have different politics, different takes on Scioland and different posting styles.

Honestly -- I just got swept up in the "differences" moment.

You've given me space & time to enjoy the board purely as a contributor. I got a persective I was lacking previously and I have to say it's MUCH more fun being a member than an administrator.

I will have to change back into "Emma the admin". This might take some time so bear with me. I didn't think I'd be taking on this role again so I've kind of let it all "hang out" and not kept my opinions to myself as I had done whilst in the admin role (most of the time). I need to find that "Emma" again.

Back in 2006, rather terrified, I posted my first anti scientology story on Ethercat’s Scientology – Through the Door. In 2007 Emma’s ESMB was born and I found it later that year.

I am so grateful to you both. You are extraordinary women of courage and humanity and have provided venues where people can find themselves again, also also kept them running, which in itself is almost a miracle.

I hope you had a wee rest Emma, and it’s good to know the server side of ESMB is so well maintained and cared for Ethercat. Thankyou for all you have done and are doing.

I find it difficult to be impartial if I "get into it' with someone. Let's talk about the elephant in the livingroom for a second ... Veda & Caroline.

A few days ago (before this decision as made) I posted that I wish they would go away. This was purely a result of my personal frustration at what I was seeing. I wasn't trying to be impartial. I had no need to be.

As Emma the Admin, I can't post stuff like that, even if I think it.

I've put myself in a precarious position now because I have been open in my opinions. If all of a sudden Veda or Caroline do something to get themselves infracted, it will look like it was a personal thing because I expressed myself earlier that I wished they would go away.

Today, and not because of any decisions regarding administration, I no longer wish they would go away. Things have calmed down & I'm perfectly happy to have both of them posting on ESMB, but can you see how it has compromised my position?

It's just safer for me to STFU when it gets heated.

I'll still openly post my opinions on most things to do with the undressing of Scientology. But then again I always have.
