Is Scientology a science?

Now you are on two of the topics that I started myself with my own two hands to discuss something I'm interested in and again your trying to tell me I'm in the wrong place on my own thread. taking my own words out of context again ?

I criticize Scientology quite a bit myself. Who says I can't tolerate it ?

Again, what I said was if you don't like my boards being popular then stop bumping them to the top by posting here. That has nothing to do with me or anybody else criticising Scientology.
Really, don't pretend to be so stupid. This is not "your boards". And where did you get the idea anyone was "not liking your boards being popular"? That's unbelievable.

You don't own this thread, you just started it. You can't control what is posted, you can't control what people say. Where do you get your bizarre ideas from?

You said, yourself, that you thought it was just wrong for people to argue against your "pro" Scientology statements. That is, by definition, being unable to tolerate criticism. You can't have it both ways.

I have no idea what's going on in your universe but, if you want to get along here, you need to start paying attention to reality.

Who needs merits?
I've seen Tom complained about being called a faker. AFAIK I've been the only one who did that and here's why:

Tom said he was Crowley reincarnated and wants to take over the "church". I mean how insane does one need to get to be able to say that?

Tom said he was currently working as a janitor and that he needs a drill press and a lathe. Another WTF moment, because a real janitor would just go to work and build one instead of making worthless posts on a forum not closely related to handcraft.

Tom quickly spotted a female who was having a weak moment at that time and started love-bombing her.

When others chimed in to protect the woman, he played the victim role.

I could go on, but that should be enough for now to explain why I think he's as faker and a manipulator. I stand by what I've said.

HellYeah!

And a few other SuperWacky things. . .

* He will take over scientology because Ron made that deal with him in a past life.

* Although being Aleister Crowley, he has no "powers" and is relegated to being a janitor at an inactive building, subsisting on below-poverty-line income.

* By his own statements, he will take over the Church of Scientology internationally--even though he doesn't consider himself a Scientologist.

* All these mighty cosmic plans will be thrown out in a split second and Tom will abandon his post, the org and Scientology if someone he has never met in person (nor spoken to on the phone) agrees to meet him to discuss lucid dreaming.

* He is on a contract to a Scientology org even though (according to him) he isn't a Scientologist and was only hanging around Scientologists so he could find someone to do lucid dreaming experiments with.

This stuff is just unimaginably stupid.

Incredibly stupid if he actually believes it. Or (if he doesn't), equally stupid if he thinks we do.

Have I mentioned recently that this stuff is really stupid? lol

Now hang on. Ol' Ron specifically said he did not consider himself a Scientologist and Li'l Davy sure isn't a Scientologist. Maybe this one will come true!

Your incessant questions are off topic and becoming more and more absurd and annoying. Lucky me. No wonder It's been such fun. It's all just make believe. LOL. At least it has a website. And what's this business about the Nation of Islam you keep bringing up ?

I think maybe you're wearing your suspenders too tight or something.

Most people on this board are ex-Scientologists & are quite apt at reading whether one has actually been in Scientology or not. Clearly, from your own immature behavior & comments, you are not a Scientologist & it has already been confirmed you were never on staff at the Harlem Org.

You also claim to be divorced, yet there is no divorce record for you in Otsego County, NY.

Go troll somewhere else, scam artist. Your gig is up, here.

True, but some of us didn't think it was appropriate in the context of a light hearted thread about what makes men (or women, I can't remember which) sexy. He (Carmelo) had this to say at one point;

"you are derailing a thread about sex."

And before anyone comments further on that; no, I'm not defending what looked like sexual braggadocio on his part and to which several of the female posters in particular understandably objected.

If you're offended by this I'm sorry but you will note that I didn't bring it up again, or mention you by name. The only reason I entered into the discussion at all was because Free Being Me (whom you leave out of your post) was presenting a somewhat partial picture of what happened and at Claire's expense, which I felt needed rectifying.

Why do I get accused of "bringing it up again" when FBM's just gone and listed all the offending posts, and at the very bottom of the last page? On second thoughts, don't tell me - I'm not sure I want to know.

Yes, C02's sexual comments were distasteful which is why I didn't quote them. Odd that Claire's Magnum Gossip Opus regarding the witch hunting abusive people here generality failed to also mention those comments when posting to Tom "Trust Me" Booth. Since C02's profanity laced fit was mentioned I quoted it ... gasp.

The posting at someone's "expense" as you put it was Claire painting Ex's here in an unfavorable untrue light to none other than Tom "Trust Me" Booth but that somehow escaped your notice. That's a double standard in case that also escaped your biased attention.

I really appreciate your hyper-vigilance to invent my crimes but much like the FIFY fiasco you're making much ado about nothing.

Here's reality. I said no such thing. Your hallucinating or projecting.

If you do not come back with a direct quotation where I said that and a link to the context, I will consider this harassment and ad hominem, and your posts will be reported.

Please don't waste the mods time, I do not wish to, but I will not quietly tolerate any further abuse directed toward me here. Thanks.

Trying to use the mods as a weapon aimed towards the people here is just disingenuous manipulative tomfoolery and not very bright. You're drawing even more attention to yourself ... sunlight is after all the best disinfectant.

Thanks Aegerprimo for this link:

http://www.xenu-directory.net/documents/hubbard-gwu.html

That link shows more proof that Hubbard learned Rhetoric in the year 1930-31.

Hubbard wrote a letter in 1936 to Dean Wilbur thanking Dean Wilbur for teaching him Rhetoric:

http://backincomm.wordpress.com/2014/04/01/dear-dean-wilbur/

"When I wrote that theme for you (I wish I had it now) I was not referring to rhetoric, but to the rest of the university."

"Do not allow this to upset you in any way. Put it down that I am a rebel, a nonconformist, anything. Some of these days I am going to set down these things in a book, and your rhetoric, very battered now, will be open on the desk beside me when I write it."

FBM, answering your post here would inevitably involve other people, not all of whom are here to defend themselves, so let's take this to PM if you really think it's worth discussing. I suspect we've both got better things to do.

I also think it would be better if the FIFY business (which you mention) were to be left in the past.

I've read that letter before. Google it and mostly good PR sites come up including this one - http://www.gwhatchet.com/2005/09/02/l-ron-hubbard-gw-scientology/

(the backincomm blog, IMHO continue to be deep drinkers of the Kool-Aid).

Anyway, what was the point? L. Ron Hubbard was good at BULL SHIT from the get-go. He knew it and did all he could to improve his skill. Rhetoric is persuasive writing. He was good at bull-shit. I see this letter as a request for praise by a professor, an authority, a scholar - so LRH could reinforce for himself that he was VERY GOOD at :trash::bs:and getting others to believe it.

I have recently read, 3 times now, the Affirmations (admissions) of LRH. It took me that many times to understand it, to absorb it. (I am an ex, and this was another jolt out of the brainwash, when I thought I had already recovered from the brainwash) - http://www.gerryarmstrong.org/50grand/writings/ars/ars-2000-03-11.html
This letter to Dean Wilbur makes sense. I have no other words to explain that. Read both, back to back.
