Manchester February 13th

The coffee cup is the meet-up place at 10:45 near STARBUCKS on 133 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 3WR.
The volcano is the Scientology Org at 258 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 4BG. to which we will proceed at about 11:00.
The camera is where we do the post-raid photo, after which it's off to the pub (optional).

The next protest at Manchester is Saturday 13th February 2010 at 11.am. The protest normally lasts for 4 hours. All are welcome to attend.

The last few protests have seen quite a number of protesters including ex-S.O., ex S.H. staff member, ex public scions, concerned parents, a psychiatrist and lots of anons. This months protest marks the second anniversary of protests at Manchester. Protesters are expected from London, Birmingham, Sunderland, Sweden and of course the Greater Manchester area.

The protest started at 11 and lasted almost 4 hours.

There were 25 protesters in all. We had a first time protester who came all the way from Sweden. There was an ex S.O., an ex public scientologist, a concerned parent, lots of regular anons and quite a few new anons.

The OTIII material and a recording of Aaron Saxton speaking about OTIII was played via a megaphone for all to hear. This appears to have caused all the Org staff in reception, to evacuate the area whilst the OTIII material was being played. This also appears to have led to complaints to the Police, by both Scientology's Manchester spokesman Sam Butler and as yet unidentified scientologist. The Police then promptly ignored the complaints.

Our good Swedish anon looked into the window of the Org, unmasked, making eye contact with Sam Butler, who took offence to this. He came out of the building using phone tech and threatening to phone the police. When Sam Butler was confronted by GetBeckyOut, he retreated back to his "bunker".

Lots of fliers were given out as were hugs by some of our more affectionate anons. Some group photos were taken at the end of the raid and some of the anons retreated for R&R to the pub.

A good time was had by all ( except the staff of the Manchester Org ). Lets hope for more of the same at next months protest.
