well, I have two dogs, and they are my best friends. Sorry Wife, just being truthful.

Although they are our kids.

So, I'd bring them over to watch the show.

I nominate the dog for a Barfy Award.

POT HEAD ALERT! Omg - my wife had the doggy channel on last night, and it was playing restful stuff to put your dog to sleep - what a trippy light show they were running - bubbles melting into bubbles of different colors, those slowed time videos of plants flowering, and clouds moving over a lake in the evening. This wacked out music. Boy, if I ever take up pot again - this is trippy light show. Right now it is free as they try and enlist viewers - on Direct TV.

Remember the old puppy channel on cable? ira glass interviewed the guy who came up with the idea. I think it is brilliant. If T.V. was dogs running through fields and funny cat videos, I would probably get one.
Does your dog actually watch it?

My wife has tried to get our son's dog to watch it, but it isn't sitting in front of the TV staring at it. More lying on the couch with it's head pointed in the TV's general direction. Meanwhile, everybody is talking and the transfixing video is running and I find my self watching the bubbles melt and remelt and remelt and remelt and the clouds fly by and fly by and fly by while listening to what they are saying.

Where I live in Florida there are doggie daycares that have flat screen TV's in every dogs room and in all the play areas. Very expensive, but they are all doing good business. I guess that there are some people that "just have TOO much money".

A few weeks ago I was looking after my sister's dog while she was away and I happened to play a video on a big screen of her and the dog doing tricks. I don't know what the dog thought of the dog on the screen but the dog rapidly got really confused by hearing her voice and looked around the house for her. I didn't play the dog any more videos like that afterwards. I did apologize to the dog though. :)
