"Spiritual pornography?" Meretriciousness? Just where is your mind, young man?

I definitely meant what I said about Scientology being spiritual pornography.

But on that definition of meretricious, I was not using the first definition, but the following ones (2a, 2b).

I find that word deliciously descriptive of what Scientology and "OT" actually are.

Definition of MERETRICIOUS

1 : of or relating to a prostitute : having the nature of prostitution <meretricious relationships>

2. a : tawdrily and falsely attractive (The paradise they found was a piece of meretricious trash.)
b : superficially significant : pretentious (Scholarly names to provide fig-leaves of respectability for meretricious but stylish books.)

I wonder what we'd get if we put up a 'Freedom Medal' and a Nobel Peace Prize Medal up for auction side by side at Christies? The Nobel Medals are 18 carat gold, plated with 24 carat. They used to be solid 23 carat, but that changed in 1980. Anybody know what the 'Freedom Medal' is made of?

O Woe! O Woe! I have remote-viewed Marty the Martyr, and I saw a man troubled and brought low by the scurge of Thetus Interruptus. Not even the healing cans of Pierre the XIIth, can undo this OT's Bane. It is as if a darkness has fallen upon the shack. O Woe! Is it now such that a man is unsafe even in his own swamp?

Should I go to the examiner and get the data into my pc folder, so that my C/S knows I F/Ned on that?

I wouldn't exactly classify Hubbard's Fake Navy a paramilitary organization, it's more like a Dysfunctional Nazified Star Trek Role-Playing Game ... but the terrorist part is spot on.

The SO could not muster up enough bravery and toughness to take on a kindergarten. I am sure they could surround it and scream insults and probably could definitely intimidate a few kids and, if needed I am sure a couple of them could man up and take a photograph or two... maybe.

But if it came down to a physical altercation the SO would lose - and you know why? They would all be so afraid of being accused of "pulling it in" and setting a foot wrong they would be paralysed. Everyone one of them would be personally afraid that they would lose everything.

But I bet they would be able to whip together a particularly thorough Knowledge Report.

Might they also be rather adept at spotting the SP kindergarteners and those who just needed a light ethics handling?

As Hubbard was so fond of acronyms we could update and refer to the SO (Sea Org) as either:
(1) HFN (Hubbard's Fake Navy) or
(2) DNSTRPG (Dysfunctional Nazified Star Trek Role-Playing Game)

The chemical formulation is: Al(S) + 3 O2 (G) => 2 Al2O3 (S)

Essentially, it is aluminum (AL) plus a coating of Aluminum Oxide (AL203).

Trade names vary, but it is commonly referred to as "Tin Foil".

I read somewhere it's 10 carat gold-plated nickel. It's accompanied by a framed certificate personally signed by the current President, which makes the certificate more valuable at auction than the medal itself.

I can also see the first definition applying: having to do with prostitution. As in selling one's soul to the devil. Of prostituting oneself in ways other than merely selling sexual favors. Lots of layers of meaning here.

Look at what Scientologists pay for their "freedom."

To me, a normal prostitute only rents a few moments use of sexual organs.

A Scientologist sells everything, including family, honor, friends, home etc. for a belief.

SAMPLE: A Scientology kindergarten teacher's report card note to parents:

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Jones:

Since our last parent-teacher conference, Sally has made enormous strides towards improving her interaction with fellow classmates. Thus, I am pleased to inform you that her "Plays Well With Others" status has been upgraded from "U" (unsatisfactory) to "S" (satisfactory).

Sally still needs to apply herself on using the clay demo tech so she is not simply playing with it, shaping cute dolls and giggling. Unless there is a dramatic ethics change on this area, we still regrettably advise that she will lose her eternity.

One of the ways that Scientology hooks people is by exploiting their vanity and narcissism. That's not true of all, but it's true of many. The silly statuses that people buy on the way up the bridge, offer a way for people to feel superior. It's a simple con-trick, but it works.

When a Scientologist is given the 'Freedon Medal', they honestly feel that it's the supreme accolade, way beyond any wog Nobel Peace medal.

F U Smilla, just one big F U to U GD iT! I paid 40,000 F'ing $$$ to get my seat in the front row of every GD event and I damn well have every right to be seen as the 1st whack-a-mole popping up to hip hp hooray and show the way to those cheap bastard down-stats in the back. So just STFU would you!!!! You're really pissing me off! You just don't get IT!!!

God the nerve of some people!

Oh Feral, I hate to disappoint you but really - they get a nod and a wink and pat on the back from DM. Its like the delusional idiots who fork over hundreds of thousands of dollars thinking they will somehow be given some special attention - yeah of course they will - the next the IAS needs a few thousand more they can always call on those twits to come in "for a special, your wallet only, briefing"

The only freedom medal winner who got anything "special" was TC - and I am sure that was only so DM could apply the massage oil himself.

I think you underestimate my understanding of the Scientology dung-heap.

IAS Freedom medal winners are the top of the pile, as regards public, below them are OT ambassadors. These are DM's servants/slaves in the Scientology public.

When you get to the IAS Freedom Medal winners there are only a couple of dozen. All sorts of impositions are put on them, like regging at IAS events, spying and reporting.

It is a lauded if illusory role.

There is also some contact with COB even if it is merely exploitation.

Did you think I inferred friendship with DM as opposed to use by him?

Scientology is pure spiritual seduction to manufacture spiritual addiction.

Scientology is a seductress - of the worst kind.

The similarities between the age-old profession of prostitution and the methods used in the scientology system are blatantly obvious when one takes a study of both. Fascinating stuff.

Forgive my forthright and possibly crass language here but...the oldest-profession workers make a transparent transaction. You pay for what you get. Scientology, on the other hand, fucks all of you, non-consensually, deceptively. Over and over. And you pay and pay on levels that are obscene beyond words.

Was going to post the red faced Sciono pic with the Tommy Davis screaming pic and caption it with "does not play well with others" or something like that.

Very true.Nothing wrong with your language in making your point, either.

Sadly, it is not far from the truth.

One of the main stats in the scio school I was involved with was "Abilities Regained". And they learnt all about KRs and Ethics from the cradle. :bigcry:
