On NYE 1999, I felt it was an important year to make an important resolution. So I made the only one that I knew I would keep, and I've kept it faithfully ever since.

I resolved that I would never again make any New Year's Eve resolutions!

Brilliant. That's right up there with my resolution from last year that every time I bought a birthday present I would also buy a Christmas present. Worked a treat; no Christmas retail insanity for me this year.

I've waited until after christmas to go shopping for a Toshiba 46 inch LCD TV.

We watched the ball drop in Times Square, on TV. Man, Dick Clark is still doing it! He's an institution. I think he's lasted longer than Guy Lombardo. Anybody remember him?
